Help! Two different roof heights and styles... can it be done????
Comments (7)I really don't see an issue with the rooflines. Looks like the angles are fairly similar and the clean lines of both structures should be easy to coordinate, especially in your open, rural setting. Since you've found a stunning deal, I would say, go for it! I definitely would want to find an architect ASAP and by all means, before you pour the slab, make sure you have a plan to coordinate....See MoreI NEED HELP WITH MY BATHROOM!!
Comments (6)Hi thank you both for replying! My bathroom is still in the making, Unfortunately I just paid for the grey tiles so I'll have to stick with them.. Everything is white, the door handles and sides of shower/sink is silver. In the pic there is a bare wall on the right that needs painting. What colour do you think I should paint it? This will set the theme for the rest of my unfinished bathroom... Thank you...See MoreNeed help with renovating a laundry (raising the floor)
Comments (7)Thanks :) Yeah decided to go with tile. So sand cement is ok over existing tiles if I prep them first? Only problem is, the new pad can only be about 30mm at it's thickest (leaving up to 15mm for tiles) otherwise it'll end up being higher than the hallway floor. So I either need to make the fall shallower or not bother with the waste and make it all level. If I made it level, could I use levelling compound at that thickness or would deck mud/sand cement be the best option? Also, should I be putting in mesh for strength? (I know I should (and will) ask the local hardware what they suggest, but it's great to have suggestions from the Houzz community also)...See MoreDining room help please ...
Comments (26)Hi Jennifer K, thanks for your comments. The photos you have posted are really lovely but not really suited to our environment and house, which I know is impossible to tell from one photo. We have built a modern farmhouse on 10 acres. That room looks out to beautiful green countryside and the river below. The dining room is a bit of a feature and is completely different to the rest of our relaxed lodgey style house but I don't want it to be too modern, if that makes sense. The photos have given me a few ideas so thank you so much for your help!...See MoreDytecture
