Help with the 'Round Room'
Comments (3)Really old thread , so my apologies for bringing it back from the dead . If Roni is still around ( i.e. notifications get through ) -- what did you do in the end ? Personally , I don't like the red beams in the ceiling , or the blue chairs . But I quite like the warmth of the wood in the dome , so I would have done the beams or rafters ( just the few lower ones ) in a charcoal , left the floor and ceiling as they are , changed the seats to a red or burgundy -- either reupholster or replace with complete new seats . And those witches hat lightshades -- go trendy modern all round balls or similar , maybe with bright red cords and/or brass fittings or similar ....See MoreChanging interior layout but would love advice!
Comments (9)Thanks very much for all your feedback. Just to answer a few queries - the deck is directly outside the main room so the new doors open out onto it. The doors won't be French - they're just the only doors that the 3D planner I'm using had, they'll actually be large stacking doors. I've had another idea too which would be a lot more expensive but offers a completely different approach. This is quite rushed so doesn't show accurate layout of kitchen or anything like that, basically just provides an idea. Thoughts!?...See MoreNeed help with design of a room - mustard accent
Comments (1)Hi Jacky, What a great start to your room! Mustard is a really versatile colour and you can do so much with it. To help with what else to use there are a few other things to take into account. What sort of flooring do you have? How much light comes in? How big is the room? What sort of bedding configuration will there be? What will the bedroom be used for - a guest room or for family? Apart from rustic, how you want it to feel - relaxed and calming or fun and edgy for example. Are there any other colours that you have used a lot in the rest of the house? Thinking about all those things can get you heading in the right direction for a whole room look and colour scheme that you will love....See MoreWhat is the focal point in my dining room?
Comments (14)Everyone has some valid points and so I would also recommend moving the clock to the kitchen wall and place the wall unit under the mirror. Centre with the table with the additions of some artwork each side if the clock with wooden frames to match the clock. Find a low piece of glass or pottery or a runner to tie in the grey shades. I presume u have a grey lounge suite. Change the lighting as to what was suggested by People Space ARchitects....See More- 8 years ago
