Beautiful table. I don't particularly like the metal/cane chairs. Too 'light' in appearance. Do you use the chairs by the window? I think they are too close to the table and they are too big in comparison. Could be the angle of the photos though, may look different in real life. I don't think your ceiling is too low to hang a pendant above the table. How do you change the table position? If you only turn it around, you can still keep it centered under a light. If you move it to the wall it's another story of course. The two paintings above the console should be hung lower and I prefer them on one level. You can add table lamps on the console and a floor lamp in the corner between the windows. If you use the two chairs, I would add a table in between and angle the chairs a bit. I'll see if I can find you other dining chair options.

I really don't see an issue with the rooflines. Looks like the angles are fairly similar and the clean lines of both structures should be easy to coordinate, especially in your open, rural setting. Since you've found a stunning deal, I would say, go for it! I definitely would want to find an architect ASAP and by all means, before you pour the slab, make sure you have a plan to coordinate.

I love it. My only concern is this: this will be our only group sitting area. We don't have a family room or any other joint "comfy" rooms in the house. This was why I was concerned the barcelonas would be to clinical. But I like this couch, it looks like it could be very comfy. Well you posted this several months ago, but I thought I would make suggestions anyway. Hope you don't mind. In order to stay with or keep in mind the style of the shelves I would first change out the towel rack and TP holder to a chrome, or brushed nickel finish. Or get something that goes with the water faucet on the sink. If you are going to paint the wood around the shower base, paint the window trim and pieces of baseboard that are wood as well. I agree with using a gray color that adalisa, above mentioned. Maybe paint your vanity a darker gray, or even a shade of black, like your shelves to tie it in. That's it for me.
