Hi, the ceiling was 2.4m, so couldnt take any large chandeliers. With such a large space, we wanted to avoid the "machine gun" approach to spot lighting.
The ceiling height of the extension was approximately 2,400mm and the ceiling mounted lights were approximately 200mm in total height. The guideline we always follow is for the chandelier drop to be at least 2,000mm of the finished floor level, unless it is above a dining table/kitchen island, where the drop can be lower.
