I like doors with panels and I like the doors to match the base boards and window + door trim (usually white). Zebra wood is very unique looking. I like art and rugs to get the attention in a room, not the doors. However, I came across gorgeous photo that appears to use flat veneer zebra wood. The baseboards are white. The multi-color slate really enhances this zebra color, too. I could not find the gray hue zebra wood. Do you have a photo or link?

We have a new door that we are developing and I was wanting to know what are the most common doors (solid core, hollow core, aluminium, etc.) that architects spec for , common issues they have with doors on their projects - and so forth - so that we can develop a door that will solve those issues and fit the specifications. I apologise that my questions lacked detail as to what I wanted.

Thanks very much for all your feedback. Just to answer a few queries - the deck is directly outside the main room so the new doors open out onto it. The doors won't be French - they're just the only doors that the 3D planner I'm using had, they'll actually be large stacking doors. I've had another idea too which would be a lot more expensive but offers a completely different approach. This is quite rushed so doesn't show accurate layout of kitchen or anything like that, basically just provides an idea. Thoughts!?

I think you should! What color are you thinking of painting them though? I personally did this in my own home and painted the whole interior of my wardrobes white and it made such a difference! completed opened up and lighted my bedroom!
