After - Melbourne dining room Colour is a very subjective topic. What one person loves another does not. While this client wanted to start from scratch we encouraged them to keep their dining table and chairs. We updated and rebuilt the chairs. The room had an identity crisis so we focused on making it well defined and a special room in this Melbourne open plan apartment. We improved/increased storage in other parts of the apartment to keep the room sleek and organised while also bringing in a strong colour inspired by the asian dining table, chairs and sideboard. We created a new view with custom-made wallpaper on the entrance wall which the dining room looks onto, and added a bit of fun with the bust of a horse. Flooring, lighting and paint were updated as well as new upholstery for the chairs to add another level of fun.
