I need help with updating the curb appeal of the house.
Comments (16)Perhaps a colored door if you paint the home grey. Maybe Red? You could simulate a color change on door by hanging something over the door that is the color like a tablecloth or piece of fabric. If you search houzz for" grey homes", you can see what others have done. My home is painted Cape Cod Grey with white trim and it has been very easy to live with for years. Comments (22)As chookchook said in her recommendation about painting, put a drop cloth on the floor. Get a very safe ladder. remove the lightbulbs, and cover the outlets. Turn off the electricity to the chandelier. Then spray it with a mild cleaner (I use one I found at Target that's basically water with vinegar, until it's dripping wet. Start at the bottom and work your way up, so you don't have dirty spray dripping on the bottom of the chandelier.Work your way up and down until the dripping spray is clean. The chandelier may be gorgeous and expensive, but it seems totally out of place in the architecture of the room--more at home in a chalet than a sunny room with a window wall. I would probably try to find a way to get it removed, and sell it to someone who appreciated it better than I....See MoreWhat do I do for curb appeal?

Comments (1)I'd get a signwriter to do a bespoke sign that doesn't look like a mass produced one , with something like 'Our main entrance is this way' or similar , say orange lettering on a 40cm square white powdercoated alloy sign , and a squiggly arrow -- or maybe get it on a varnished wooden sign or similar -- spend $50-100 rather than $10 . Fasten on that left hand front beside the garage door . Not a complete solution , but it will help if done right ....See MoreBlack Bamboo
