I have just planted some hydrangeas along the front of the house. Not enough to make a full row of them, but with gaps to put something in between if I want to.
Question is, with hydrangeas flowering in summer, do I plant something in between the hydrangeas that flower in winter when the hydrangeas are cut back 'sticks' or plant something that complement the foliage and flower at the same time in summer?
A. Flower at opposite time to hydrangeas
B. Flower at same time as hydrangeas
