I’d be less worried about the looks and more worried about having a plaster bulkhead in the splash zone. Is the bulkhead constructed of water resistant board, and preferably waterproofed?
I think it might be centred or close to when counting at window height, but distorted by the photo?
But the far side is not all one vertical line. So it could never look really symmetrical. For functionality isn't the important thing where it is positioned over the floor where you stand, so it should be further to the left? I don't think the rainshower head looks good with the bulkhead though. Height needs to suit the height of the people who will use it.
Counting the tiles from the left the lower shower mount is on the edge of the 6th tile, and don't think that there are 6 tiles from that to the exterior wall. The rain water head would look better moved/centered between the LH and the bulk head hanging from the ceiling.
Another photo would help, but it doesn't look right to have the rain water head up under the bulk head
The shower is centred on the correct tile, there are 11 tiles and the 11th one isn’t a full tile. Centre would be slightly to the left but still on the sixth tile. The bulkhead is distorting the visual of the space. As said by the builder, wait until the entire bathroom is finished before passing judgement. When the bulkhead is finished correctly and painted, hopefully it will disappear visually. I assume the bulkhead was important and could not be made smaller…..?
I’m reality the stage your at, you’re going to have to live with it. Even more after the screen goes in. Best you get your head around that it is what it is.
