I really don't see an issue with the rooflines. Looks like the angles are fairly similar and the clean lines of both structures should be easy to coordinate, especially in your open, rural setting. Since you've found a stunning deal, I would say, go for it! I definitely would want to find an architect ASAP and by all means, before you pour the slab, make sure you have a plan to coordinate.

Don't use the wall faucet variety, UNLESS you want to purchase a new top for the vanity. Or return the vanity. Pretty simple. The round hole was meant to have a faucet. Not a "cover" which may also allow water down under, which may also ruin the vanity as there will be no containing water lines beneath the little hole. Bad idea,

Hello, I am in the beginning stages of designing (rough design, for someone more professional to finish off), and building a 50m2 single room building. I'm bound to have numerous questions as the process moves along. But for now, I have what I thought would be a simple thing to just look up online, yet it wasn't. There is a 5m height restriction in the area. The site is sloping. I've looked extensively online and couldn't find any useful information on how I determine the building height, when the site is on a slope. The only info I found referred to the height being from the ground level (prior to any earthworks commencing), to the highest point on the building. How is the "ground level" determined on a sloping building site? Also, if we dig some way into the slope, which will effectively lower the visual profile of the building, does this impact from what point we measure the building height? Does anyone know?
