How to make best use of laundry space?
Q
Comments (6)
I would suggest your plumber links the hot and cold fill pipes to the supply UNDER the sink - this gets rid of unsightly pipes and while he's there get him to move the taps to the L side of sink. I would then create a broad drop down counter top to create a place to sort your laundry ready for hanging out to dry or to fold ready for ironing This drop down counter top to be hinged to R side of washing machine and ensuring the taps are not impeded. If you can't do the drop down version then create a free standing top made out of a piece of MDF/laminated board to put over the sink and washing machine for clothes sorting & folding. This free standing top can 'live' at the side of the washing machine when not needed. I would then put shelves above the folded back counter top to store washing powder and sundries. I would store the washing powder etc in colourful or white boxes to keep the place looking tidy and uniform. Handles on the boxes for ease of access. Oh I do love organising - can I pop round and do this for you? Hope all goes well with the changes.

Can you purchase it online & have them ship it to someone you know in the US?Then have them ship it to you. The cost of all the shipping will surely be much more than the linens. Have you looked into having something custom made?. I bet you can find similar fabric & the end result will be higher quality..

go to www.etsy.com and check out HAND made items by artists and crafts people. You never know what you will find and it is very, very fun to look and learn about the incredible things people fabricate. One nice item that comes to mind that I have seen on Etsy are "Beach blankets". I did not know about them because, I've never lived by water or the beach but, apparently if you live by water you always want a big, light weight fabric to use to sit on or to stretch on poles to shield you from too, much sun. I f there was a big "beach blanker" that you liked enough, it could be in your room as an extra blanket, throw or as a window covering perhaps. This would be a good way to remind yourself about your love of the water and surfing and the beach. https://www.etsy.com/shop/AMIZANTI?section_id=6832219&ref=shopsection_leftnav_3. Maybe this is kind of an exotic option for you at your age but, I think its never too, soon to attune ourselves to culture and the arts and interesting ideas from across the world. Also, on Etsy (not bedding) are wall murals. My client's son Max wanted to feel part of the woods so, I found and he and his dad installed an incredible mural. So, that might be fun for you to explore too. I am showing the one they picked here. We did not stick to any kind of bedding collection. Instead we bought a big combination of Max's favorite "Forest Colors". See bed picture for example. Think outside the box, have fun!

Buy the bedding you love and then go from there to doing the rest of the space, paint is cheap so leave it till the end of the process and match to something in the bedding would be my suggestion.
