Another fun #kidsspace in our Coronado Beach vacation home project. We all know kids like to be cooped up in cozy spaces to let their creative genius run wild. How cool is this attic that we converted into a kid haven of creativity. There are hooks in the ceiling to hang blankets from whenever some serious fort-making is in order. The adjacent space looks just as cool and is designed for older brother to play video games in.

This replacement dwelling at Tregoose, Polzeath is a two-storey, detached, four bedroom house with open plan reception space on the ground floor and bedrooms on the lower level.
Sympathetic to its context and neighbouring buildings, the split-level accommodation has been designed to maximise stunning coastal and ocean views from the property. The living and dining areas on the ground floor benefit from a large, full-height gable window and a glazed balcony oriented to take advantage of the views whilst still maintaining privacy for neighbouring properties.
The house features engineered oak flooring and a bespoke oak staircase with glazed balustrades. Skylights ensure the house is extremely well lit and roof-mounted solar panels produce hot water, with an airsource heat pump connected to underfloor heating.
Close proximity to the popular surfing beach at Polzeath is reflected in the outdoor shower and large, copper-tiled wet room with giant walk-in shower and bespoke wetsuit drying rack.

Our clients moved from Southern California to Austin, Texas and had some adjusting to do. Their home had a Texas traditional theme, but they wanted to bring in their California bohemian style. They had a lot of great pieces, really cool style, and a ton of books we had to make room for.

A bold, yet subtle play room. While still incorporating the warmth and coastal environment, playful pastel colors are also added through the artwork and storage to make this space bright and engaging for the kids!

Sundown is a new contemporary home in Widemouth Bay, Cornwall. Our brief was to design a modern house to replace the existing dilapidated bungalow. It was important to ensure the new building conformed to neighbouring roof heights to satisfy planning criteria and was contained within the original footprint.
Accommodating two storeys was achieved through the use of a curved roof profile. This innovative approach allowed for first floor open plan living that maximises magnificent sea views.
Sundown’s appearance adopts a form and materials that relate strongly to its coastal location. Externally, the building boasts a mixture of white render and timber cladding, with aluminium windows, glazed juliet balconies and a hardwood front door.
