This room is full on but very inticing. The colourful artwork pulls it all together and is a focal poit for this room. I don't know who the Artist is. - lisa_judd11

This stone-to-ceiling fireplace gives the room a more rustic feel while the striped walls and accent pieces add a modern flare. The giant paint brushes add a bit of whimsy to the space.

Edward Der-Boghossian My daughter was involved in architecture/design of house - I designed the kitchen shown. The clients were looking for a modern & sleek kitchen, fit for younger home owners. We created the modern look using walnut in combination with white painted doors. These clients were referred to me by their parents, past clients of mine as well.

Vibrant pink and teal hues are grounded by comfy charcoal as everything comes together to make the perfect teenage girl’s lounge space. Light and airy, this room is perfect for injecting bright colors. Pink swivel chairs and an iridescent white cocktail ottoman look great on the contrasting teal rug. Colorful abstract art and fantastic accessories give the space some youthful funk. Erika Barczak, By Design Interiors Inc. Created for entertainment, Moroccan themes are playfully implemented. Original Moroccan artifacts, rich textures and materials were meticulously assembled. The two story 'Kasbah' includes a dance studio and performance theater in the basement, a great room, kitchen and bar on the main level. Slide-away doors open the great room to the rear yard for an indoor/outdoor ambiance.

For years we lived with an ugly, too small and wimpy builders grade mantel that I couldn't wait to tear out. Turns out it made the perfect support for my new custom, one of a kind mantel. I conceived, designed and had this piece built onsite by my favorite carpenter. I wanted it to look like a continuous piece of wood that wrapped around on the edges, like I had seen done on benches, but with a live edge on the bottom not the top. This is a hand chosen, stunning Bubinga plank and it's feature is the variegated wood tones - it "goes with" everything! I also had the floating picture frame custom made to make my favorite tree canvas art more in scale with the fireplace and wall. This tree stands next to our fire pit in Door County, WI and is a favorite view we wanted to bring home. The small chrome lamps are a deliberate play on scale for a touch of the unexpected. The two trunks are antique indonesian pieces. The one on the left holds my firewood in the winter and the one on the right is the perfect place to store all of the media components. Cathy Zaeske
