The color palette for this master suite was the key element in its design; also, the influence of The Indian style (but not so literal) was a requirement by the client. Colors and textures were important since art-work on walls was to be kept to a minimum.

High school teen wanted an updated room. Her directives were that she liked coral, light blue, vintage and Urban Outfitters. We found the awesome vintage, queen ann chairs in their basement storage (PERFECTION) and the rest is a mix of old and new. The result - an age appropriate, romantic, eclectic room this teen never wants to leave!

Her antique bed and night stands- both passed down from her grandmother- seem just right in this hip space- adding a touch of nostalgia and a strong connection to the past. These pieces offer a fun contrast to the modern classic forms (Barcelona chairs, Greek Key table) in the adjoining seating area. The seating areas arrangement makes for easy conversation for a group of friends and a comfy place just to lounge and read a good book! The custom metal chain curtain solved the privacy issue between her bedroom and dressing area. It is fun, retro, and one of a kind.
