TWD remodeled a few aspects of this home in order for the homeowner to essentially have a mother-in-laws quarters in the home. This bathroom was turned into a Universal Design and safety conscious bathroom all to own, a custom niche was built into the wall to accommodate a washer/dryer for her independence, and a hall closet was converted into a guest bathroom.

Two young teen girls stay in this room when on vacation. This room was so dark and uninviting before, but now it is a happy place to sleep!

Joy Street Design
Our Oakland studio went ultra bold with the design of the guest suite at the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse. We chose the theme of a harmonious union of the physical and virtual universe through thoughtful, curated design. We used a dichromatic color theme in the bedroom to create a soothing sanctuary. Luxurious bedding, stylish fabrics, and soft velvet window treatments add a distinctive touch. In the bathroom, we added the classic black and white color theme with stylish tiles and attractive fixtures, creating a beautiful, bold contrast. The whole project emphasizes the past-meets-present-meets-future concept resulting in our most daring design yet!

Custom queen size bunk beds allow for tons of sleeping space for kids & guests. Stairs instead of a ladder make them more user friendly, and drawers underneath allow for lots of storage. Vaulted ceilings, nautical windows, built-in shelves and lots of warm pine are sure to "Wow" guests.
Lakota Cove
Lakota Cove featured this fabulous 200 year old black walnut wood king bed. The bedding was hand made by an artist in Texas and was created with the finest black leather and scrolled leather accents. The detail was highlighted with gorgeous feathers and coordinating trim. The cowhide bench at the foot of the bed is the perfect place for any cowboy to take off his boots! The rusty red walls brought rich blends of color together to help balance the room. An old teak dresser brought a touch of antique to the room. The finishing thought was the horse lamp and a custom designed nightstand that accented the total western elegant style.
Dual Concept Design
A bright color palette of pinks, oranges, and chartreuse was implemented in this guest bedroom along with a mix of patterns to play off of the tones in the rug.
