Water feature area

リビングの一角に作った奥様のワークスペース。 間仕切りの腰壁にサイザル麻タイルを貼り、3匹の猫たちが思う存分爪を砥げるようにした。 腰壁の上ではいつも愛猫が仕事を見守ってくれる。 この大爪とぎを作って以降、家具や壁紙など他の場所で爪を砥がれる被害が無くなった。施工後5年以上経ってもこの爪とぎは健在である。

夜のポーチです。 左開口は、直接車庫に行く動線。右奥の開口は、ウッドデッキに入れる動線になっています。

The four skylights in the Japanese tea House have hand carved overlay screens. The beauty of these overlays is that sunlight shinning through appears to dance on the walls and floor as the sun moves across the sky. The inset hand painted porcelain tiles in the Chinoiserie show the process of making porcelain tiles. They are very literal. The Green Man at the top looks on, signifying Nature's role in the process. Bill Meyer Photography
