“We engaged Wright and Gray Architects to design and project manage the renovation of our 1920s house in Karori, Wellington. We loved our location, but the interior layout just didn’t suit our growing family. We appreciated Travis taking the time to understand how we were currently living in the house, what our pain points were and what we would like to improve. He used this to reconfigure the layout of our existing footprint into something that met all our requirements and made much better use of space. Travis and his team are very knowledgeable and always made great recommendations – from the construction company, to hardware and colour selections. This project had its challenges, as all renovations do, and Travis and his team were a calming influence throughout- and never far away when we needed them. We’re very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Wright and Gray.”

“We had worked with Robyn and Essence Design on our home renovation project last year and Robyn was fantastic. We had taken our basic concept and ideas to her and she was able to re-craft them into design plans that met exactly what we were looking for. She has been great at taking into consideration the space we are working with and the era of the house a 1920's California Bungalow. We didn't want to lose the character of the house and make the renovation and extension feel as though it was always part of the house. Robyn's design did this and gave us the entertaining and living space that we were looking for. The REVIT programme has been amazing in terms of being able to give us a vision of what the renovations will look like. The ability to create and view different parts of the house is simply priceless. We can highly recommend Robyn as an architect designer. “We chose James and his team at Mackit because we loved his contemporary modern design style. The team made the process very easy and their detailing, care and attention as both a master builders and architectural designers was exceptional. They were fabulous at listening to our brief, designing and then building our project. The project was delivered to deadline without any unexpected costs to us, something that we’d never experienced with previous design or building projects. The Mackit builders were unfailingly polite, communicated really well and were a pleasure to deal with, especially important with our young family living on-site during the build. The result is brilliant and much better than we envisaged. We frequently refer James and the team at Mackit to our friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to ask him to design and build any of our future projects.”
