You should have minimum 5 ft but 6 ft is ideal. I've played pool where tables are 4 ft from the wall and it is too close. The standard pool cue length is 57" and the draw length is about 6" so 5 to 6 ft would be ideal.

For chair scoot and sit space, I'd follow the guidelines for a rug - 4' all around. Then you want to be able to navigate around the table while people are seated, so add another 18" all around. Are you locating the table at the end of the galley? I think it's too much white. Some darker or different colours would be a welcome addition between all of the white.

We have a new build and the west side garden is overlooked from the neighbour and from the street around the corner, - looking through the neighbour's property. This problem is compounded by the house being 400mm above ground level and having a standard height fence. I was thinking of an allee of trees for privacy screening and for dappled light and sun control. Or does anyone have an alternative suggestion?
