Comments (8)I love the color you have on the wall by the patio doors. I'd go with that all over if you want the space to feel warm. Or, if you want the rooms to feel cooler, you may want to go with sky blue or a calm green. The right shade of green brings in your outdoor plants, which looks very nice when you are looking out through the windows. Your flooring would look fine with any of these choices. Comments (2)I have no idea what the relevant building rules are for your area , but I like your 'jailbar' idea , timber ( I'm guessing you'd need to get good solid timber -- no knots that may crack when someone runs into it playing indoor rugby haha ) stained dark -- it would contrast and compliment the lighter honey stained timber . It looks like your idea though is to take it straight across to the window ? I'd follow the existing L shape -- it would make the room a bit darker , but the stairwell would be as light as at present , plus there'd be no extra problems with taller people or furniture up the stairwell ....See MoreConcrete House Advice Wanted

4 years agoHow about this colour scheme: the light grey (Resene Triple White Pointer) for the cladding, and the very dark grey/ blue (Resene Half Shark) for the railings, steps and decking. The white can be used for the concrete foundations and gutters.
