Wow! What an incredible view you have! I think you first need to frame it out. I would suggest changing out the carpet with hardwood floors with a worn or weathered look. Definitely get rid of the plastic and replace with white base moulding. Next I would paint the walls a color in the pale grey or grey/blue family. Next, I would suggest some crisp white sheers to frame each window. In the pictures, it looks like the Windows on the right are two windows wide. If so, I would also place panels in the middle of those 2 windows to continue framing the view. These are for decorative purposes only and not intended to distract from the view. It looks like there is a big space between two of the windows. I would locate a large architectural piece to place on that wall to add some interest. Remove all the small items from the window ledges. Finally, I would love a round table in that space. Good luck with your reno!

Hi there. Airy concrete will create more of a contrast with the floor, tie in your white cabinetry better and it will be easier to work with in an open plan. Hi We are torn between a black and a white bathroom vanity. Here are the details of the bathroom: Large marble tiles on floor and up walls. With large round mirror above vanity One feature wall in charcoal hexagons Chrome tapware Concrete basin. We are wondering whether to put the basin on a white concrete top and white vanity front (safe!) OR Black vanity with either white or black top. Love the idea of a black vanity- I think it would really pop with all the grey/white in the tiles/basin etc but would it look odd with a white top (so 3 diff colours grey basin/white top/black vanity front) Better to have a black top? Anyone got an examples to show me? Thanks

I'll say it straight out -- I personally don't think the style of fence matches the style of house . But not painting it makes it even more obvious . Maybe you need a new friend haha . Me -- I'd render the wall , and paint in an English Cream , AND do the 3 gables and the boards above the garage door and any other trim in the English Cream too , to tie it all in . IF the bricks were still available , I would have gone down that route , with the rendered fence pillars ( and gables and trim ) in an English Cream , or possibly the pillars in the same white as the house bits , but generally I'd try and go a bit closer to the brick colour than 'just' a white . It's workable , and almost anything would be better than leaving the blocks as they are IMO .
