These are Limestone pavers and they are different sizes and different shades of brown. They work very well with brick. Limestone is less porous than Sandstone and worth the extra cost.
The bricks are absolutely fine to lay without them becoming slippery. However every paver, decking and brick is slippery in shaded spots where the sun doesn’t have a chance to dry them out.
