Painting baseboards and door/window frames same as walls?
Comments (3)I think the white trim gives it a much more contemporary look. It's more work to have it done in a different color, but the overall look is cleaner....See MoreHelp! I think i made a mistake with my splash back colour!
Comments (46)The blue is awesome (grey is too trendy)! The reason it stands out to you is perhaps because it's the only real colour there. Bring in the blue in a window treatment, a small appliance that sits on the counter, a pretty tray or area rug. Also, it is more appealing often if there are more than 2 colours - so right now you have a white and blue colour scheme - bring in red or orange or fushia - something from the other side of the spectrum (like you did with the yellow flowers but in a more permanent way)!...See Morere roofing from 10 degree angle to 45 degrees - cost? 9metre x 16 metr
Comments (0)Debating replacing a 10 degree roof with a 45 degree roof to optomise going off the grid. Building is 9 metres wide [includes 500 eaves] by 12 metres long. We would increase the length to 16 metres to cover an existing deck with ancient corrugated plastic roof. Question is cost. We have the room to build the roof on site and crane into place otherwise make it offsite. We would need to put a couple of windows in length to give character. We would use dark grey ribbed coloursteel ideally and reclad south and west walls with the same material. Does anyone out there have an opinion?...See MoreDriveway re designed
Comments (3)Sweeping steps could work, because this will make the sweep of the driveway work as part of the visual welcome to your home. It will also give them a bit more presence. The current steps look quite small and abrupt, so do not invite you in. The fence creates quite a barrier there. It shuts off the access to your home visually, and is very harsh. If you really need a fence there, can you make it at least partly permeable to at least have some sense of there being somewhere to go? A front entrance needs to lead you in and it presently leads to the drive then stops very suddenly. A horizontally slatted fence could work with the current balcony balustrade and help to update it while keeping its character. If the fence could be behind the steps and the front door, as well as being semi permeable, it would be even more welcoming. Some plantings will also help to soften all the hard surfacing....See Moredavincicalbourne
