This cocoon of a Boho bedroom has a secret: the queen size platform bed is partially built over the raised foundation of the main house, allowing us to steal a little space to make the room two feet wider. The other part of the bed provides three huge storage drawers below. I was thrilled to discover that the college age occupant-to-be had always wanted a platform bed. Mission accomplished! To save space, the closet was also built into the raised foundation level of the house, but this is hidden by a barn door slider, so no one is the wiser. It was requested that I design the bedroom to accommodate the existing furniture from this young woman's former bedroom. Her style is Boho, and we did it to the max! With two walls in moody dark purple and the other two in lighter lavender, the space is cozy and cheerful, youthful and contemporary, with a bit of shabby chic thrown in for good measure. Colorful patchwork pillows mix with geometrics, florals, and stripes to add to the fun.

This lower level deck features Trex Lava Rock decking and Trex Trandscend guardrails. Our Homeowner wanted the deck to flow to the backyard with this expansive wrap around stair case which allows access onto the deck from almost anywhere. The we used Palram PVC for the riser material to create a durable low maintenance stair case. We finished the stairs off with Trex low voltage lighting. Our framing and Helical Pier application on this job allows for the installation of a future hot tub, and the Cedar pergola offers the privacy our Homeowners were looking for.

This fun kitchen is a perfect fit for its’ owners! As a returning client we knew this space would be a pleasure to complete, having previously updated their main bath. The variegated blue picket tiles add bold colour the homeowners craved, while the slab doors in a natural maple with matte black finishes and soft white quartz countertops offer a warm modern backdrop. Filled with personality, this vibrant new kitchen inspires their love of cooking. The small footprint required creative planning to make the most efficient use of space while still including an open shelf section to allow for display and an open feel. The addition of a second sink was a game changer, allowing both sides of the room to function optimally. This kitchen was the perfect finishing touch for their home!

Side by side tall pantry cabinets were used to mimic the look of the built in subzero which is on the other side of the steam oven cabinet. Adjustable rollout drawers vary in sizes, shallow on top and large on the bottom.

This beautiful, expansive open concept main level offers traditional kitchen, dining, and living room styles.

The previous year Finesse, Inc. remodeled this home in Monrovia and created the 9-lite window at the entry of the home. After experiencing some intense weather we were called back to build this new entry way. The entry consists of 1/3 covered area and 2/3 area exposed to allow some light to come in. Fabricated using square steel posts and beams with galvanized hangers and Redwood lumber. A steel cap was placed at the front of the entry to really make this Modern home complete. The fence and trash enclosure compliment the curb appeal this home brings. PC: Aaron Gilless
