Help for bedroom please
Comments (4)I think I would start with the furniture, in terms of space, given that you said it was not a large room. I would check sizing of the furniture and room, to see what would work with the bed, a couch, the wardrobe and any other furniture that you'll be using in the room. From there, I think I would start with the bedding possibly as a starting point for the color scheme. Perhaps you could find bedding with a print you like in the colors that you like, and take from there, the colors for the rest of the room. As well as a sofa bed, another option might be a daybed that could also do double duty as a bed or seating. I think painting the furniture a bring pink would work well against the white. And then take it from there with whatever you've decided to do in terms of the overall color scheme with pink/white/silver/black or pink/orange and white for the walls, perhaps something like a gray as well with the second color combo. Good luck!...See MoreLooking for help on bedrooms layout
Comments (29)I think the first layout is fine. You might want to consider moving the door for the storage room of the master bedroom so that it opens into the hall. That way the kids can use it for overflow storage. Also, that hallway is big enough that I think it could hold a large armour, providing more closet space. (There's no need to sleep in the same room as your clothes, so long as they're not too far off.) Also, don't forget that while the drawing shows kids in double beds, this need not be the case, so there will be more room for furniture (dressers or whatever) in their rooms. Finally, that step to bedroom 4 will not be odd at all. I've seen it in other homes. It looks clumsy in the drawing but it isn't. What you'll see when you come up the stairs is a bedroom door on a slight diagonal. It's only an odd jagged step if you walk like a robot, in straight lines along the wall, which is what your eye is doing on the drawing but you won't do in real life....See MoreBedroom ideas please
Comments (9)no problem, so are you saying that wall is closest, but stronger, do you think it might like a smokey teal? that is very in right now, or is it like the grayed out turquoise on the coverlet? Grey would be a wonderful accent with that. Have you thought of making your headboard? So amazingly simple? Give yourself like a nice padded gray? Could go for a silk or velvet? oh do you have dark hairy people? you know like black retrievers or something? that could be a problem. If you put covered buttons, there is actually a little tool (under $10 does it all for you. really glam it up. do these help? I think i would go with light gray or a variation of the wall color. let me know when you are ready for more. Comments (1)I have plants all through my home and yes most certainly plants work in bedrooms. Go for some thing that adds a statement whether it be a small violet plant, a succulent that produces masses of flowers, a fern to add grace and movement or a taller statement plant - or be like me and go for all types - especially those that flower. I am in my late 40's and have been a plant fan all my life. I have had to let some go over the years but I still have one plant from when I was 12 and it is massive - people do not understand what I mean when I say I spent hours pruning my indoor plants. Plants indoors and out are fantastic....See Moreypimentel
