Thelen Total ConstructionWhen the day on the lake ends, the good times continue in the spacious family room. Shown here is the wood burning stone face fireplace with a space for logs, and built-in TV. The mantle is 8" x 12" hand hewn pine with support pegs. On the right - the arched door is a temperature and humidity controlled wine room.
Rolf Schroeder General Contractors, Inc.This fireplace used to be a floor to ceiling large round stone fireplace that was too heavy for the room. The Client was looking for a more clean line and reduced in size fireplace, so we designed a fireplace that incorporated the use of dry stacked quartzite stone with a custom made beaded mantel. In place of the slate hearth we installed a leathered piece of black granite.

Columns and wainscot paneling trail from the kitchen to envelope the family area and allow this open space to function cohesively.
Atlas Moran ConstructionWe expanded the main level of this 1947 colonial in the Barcroft neighborhood of Arlington with a first floor addition at the rear of the house. The new addition made room for an open and expanded kitchen, a new dining room, and a great room with vaulted ceilings.
Tutto InteriorsThis New Build sits on a stunning body of water and has a unique quality about the space itself. While it has qualities of a more contemporary style with the vast open space, the client’s style was not necessarily contemporary by nature. Since most of the main floor was integrated into one large area the approach for furnishings and fabrics could not be overly traditional. I combined some geometric patterns with a transitional frame to ensure the space was not too overdone. The result is a current yet timeless look that will be in style for years to come.
Uccello Development, LLCThe transitional style of the interior of this remodeled shingle style home in Connecticut hits all of the right buttons for todays busy family. The sleek white and gray kitchen is the centerpiece of The open concept great room which is the perfect size for large family gatherings, but just cozy enough for a family of four to enjoy every day. The kids have their own space in addition to their small but adequate bedrooms whch have been upgraded with built ins for additional storage. The master suite is luxurious with its marble bath and vaulted ceiling with a sparkling modern light fixture and its in its own wing for additional privacy. There are 2 and a half baths in addition to the master bath, and an exercise room and family room in the finished walk out lower level.

Calacatta Classique Quartz is showcased on the top of the cabinets, finishes the firebox surround, and mantle. Claros silver architectural travertine is stacked from the fireplace floor to ceiling. This new transitional fireplace and bookcase cabinetry is just what this living room needed all overlooking downtown Chicago.
