Scoop Porch with curved sides

Rachael Turner founded her company Front Porch Properties to follow her greater passion for renovation and design. This Coorparoo, Queensland home was a massive renovation! The original Queenslander was raised up and used as the second story and the home was built out into a magnificent American style home. There is a heavy American barn / farm house influence with a twist of feminine which is just perfection. Intrim supplied SK12 Skirting & CR22/IN23 for wainscoting.

Elegance and class are timeless, and that’s what makes The French-Chic Cottage by Front Porch Properties such a compelling design. This American inspired design draws inspiration from classic Cape-Cod cottages, adding a modern and playful spin with the use of Scyon Linea to the outer. In conjunction with the use of cement weatherboard, the wide verandah and multi-pane windows are the classic touches that make this home a timeless creation. Set in the suburb of Calamvale in Queensland, this cottage is a standout amongst the low-set brick project homes throughout the state. Complete with a garden to die for, it shows us how a true classic never goes out of fashion.

This walled Woollahra courtyard garden was built as an entry to a recently renovated house but also as a private relaxation space. Through a laser cut corten steel entry gate you get glimpses of a private oasis beyond. Its rich warm brown colour is perfectly matched with the new spotted gum decking on the porch and the feature downlight by the front door. Soft gravel and steeping stones outside and through the gate draw the visitor in adding a soft and organic feel. Three steps lead to a generous deck wrapping around a corner to reveal more space for entertaining and an outdoor lounge. Planted here is some Boston ivy that will grow up the wall and further green up the space creating a seasonal element with its autumn leaves. An eclectic and varied planting palette of different leaf shapes and colours creates texture and stands out against the white walls. Plants were also chosen for their hardiness and low maintenance requirements. Two Olives planted within the gravel provide a light canopy and a frangipani near the lounge will be great to sit under as it grows taller over the years. The resulting garden is not only a lovely entry for the residents and their visitors but also a spot where they can sit and relax.

Traditional coastal Hamptons style home designed and built by Stritt Design and Construction. The front porch features a navy front door with glass sidelights, brass door hardware and a black and white patterned floor tile.

This front door has been painted in Blue Ground No.210 Exterior Eggshell and the wood panels have been painted in Off-Black No.57 Exterior Eggshell.

We designed a charming front porch for this beautiful cottage in Farnham, adding both functionality and charm. Instead of stepping directly into the living room, you’re welcomed by a cozy entryway where you can comfortably take off your shoes and hang up your coat. Though compact, measuring just 3m by 1m, the porch offers a delightful space with lovely views of the surrounding outdoors, creating a warm and inviting transition between the exterior and interior of the home.

This lovely Victorian house in Battersea was tired and dated before we opened it up and reconfigured the layout. We added a full width extension with Crittal doors to create an open plan kitchen/diner/play area for the family, and added a handsome deVOL shaker kitchen.
